Ptfe gaskets

Polytetrafluoroethylene is a thermoplastic with excellent thermal characteristics. It undergoes a decrease in hardness only around +300°C, although use is recommended up to +260°C. The chemical properties are also excellent, and the electrical and dielectric properties are particularly favorable. PTFE deforms under load but tends to return to its original shape if, after removing the load, the temperature is increased. It also has a very low coefficient of friction, both static and dynamic.
